With reference to the correspondence which you have had with Lambert of the Foreign Office on the subject of the Russian vessels "SVIRSTROI" and "SIMFEROPOL" in Hong Kong harbour (your reference 55136/24/48) I send for your information copy of a semi-official note which I have received from our representative in Hong Kong dealing with a Russian enquiry about these wrecks.

I am sending a copy of the note to Lambert.
